Life in a Fishbowl’s Hera Hilmar A Shooting Star

Life in a Fisbowl’s star Hera Hilmar will be a part of EFP’s annual showcase, Shooting Star, which unveils its ten young European actors of 2015 at the upcoming 65th Berlinale.

Hera Hilmar’s first major feature role was in Gudny Halldorsdottir’s THE QUIET STORM in 2007, she also featured in Runar Runarsson’s 2 BIRDS in 2008, both films received awards and nominations.

She graduated from London’s LAMDA in 2011, and has since worked on projects as diverse as Joe Wright’s ANNA KARENINA and Christopher Smith’s GET SANTA and she stars as Vanessa in David Goyer’s highly acclaimed TV series Da Vinci’s Demons.

Hera received a Special Mention at the 2014 Zurich Film Festival for her performance as the single mother Eik in Baldvin Z’s LIFE IN A FISHBOWL which has been selected as Iceland’s Oscar submission for Best Foreign Language Film.
